Mazzei Flying Service's greatest asset is our staff. Because a school can never be better than its instructors, we invest a lot of time and money in instructor standardization and staff development. Regarding staff selection, we believe that the best instructors are those that love teaching as much as they love flying; are motivated by a genuine interest in people, the joy of teaching, and the pride of accomplishment; and are more concerned about their students than their own personal goals and ambition.

A good instructor's priorities should be providing quality training and completing students, not just building flight hours at the student's expense. Most important, a good flight instructor should be sensitive to the cost of flight training and be able to complete a student on schedule and within budget.

The continued success of our flight school has been due in part to the stability and ongoing quality and professionalism of our instructor staff. It has never been our desire to be the biggest flight school in the US, only the best. In many large schools students often become just numbers. Each day students may be assigned different instructors. At Mazzei Flying Service students are assigned to only one instructor. Each student receives personalized attention from his or her instructor as well as from the entire staff. We truly care about each and every one of our students.

But in the final analysis, it is not what a school says about itself, or what it says it can do for you that is important, but rather what the students and graduates say about the school (Please see Student Comments).
