The question of how to finance a course of pilot training has always been a concern of would-be aviators. For career-minded pilots, financing considerations are often the single largest obstacle to be overcome on the road to their commercial certification.

Mazzei Flying Service acknowledges the importance of financial assistance by continually monitoring available programs to determine which are most appropriate for our students. MFS recommends that you consider using the Career Training Loan of SLM Financial for all or part of the funding required for your training. Since any student in a professional pilot course is usually seen by the lender to be training full-time (not working), a strong co-applicant (or two) with steady employment and a good credit history is required.

• LOAN AMOUNT – The amount you will need for your course of training PLUS $2K to cover the Fuel Surcharge (if it should remain in effect throughout your training)
• REPAYMENT TERM – Choose any term up to 15 years, expressed in years (Ex: 8.5 yrs)
• Choose INTEREST ONLY or DEFERRED PAYMENT, not BOTH
• BORROWER NAME CAN BE OTHER THAN THE STUDENT (if student has poor credit)
