Perfect VFR/IFR Training Weather and Endless
Activities are Waiting in the Golden State!
|
Our California location is one of the big advantages of flight training with MFS! During both summer and winter, realistic IFR conditions exist within the state, and there are 14,000' mountains and both coastal and desert regions in which to train. Additionally, there are opportunities during your flight training to fly extended cross-country to such destinations as Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Choosing MFS for flight training means you will have full days of exciting, intense ground and air instruction in varied VFR and IFR conditions. Our Private, Commercial and Flight Instructor courses are not a vacation, but it is nice to know that on your own time, so much fun and breathtaking scenery is so close.
Relax at the beach alongside the blue Pacific
Ocean. Shop Fishermans Wharf in beautiful San Francisco. Hike the many trails of Yosemite National Park. These are a few of the activities found by the millions of tourists who travel to California every year on vacation.
Other great activities which students may arrange on their own include camping in the High Sierra Nevada wilderness, visiting Disneyland in Los Angeles, fishing for rainbow trout in the legendary Kings River, swimming and water skiing, snow skiing, surfing, tennis, golf, etc. Fresno is located in the center of the state among the lush vineyards and orchards of the San Joaquin Valley, the worlds richest agricultural region.
For exercise, Fresno has many health clubs featuring spas, weight rooms, and racquetball. The Central Valley also has plenty of things to do as well. Catch live entertainment in Fresnos quaint Tower District, watch an exciting Fresno State Bulldogs collegiate sporting event, or cheer on Fresnos Triple A baseball club, the Fresno Grizzlies at a our sparkling new downtown stadium.
Our school also offers a colorful social life, where you'll have the opportunity to train with students from all over the world, make lasting friendships, and enjoy the special camaraderie and bond shared only between fellow pilots. With predictable weather, plenty to see and do, and the right combination of airspace requirements, training in the Golden State just makes perfect sense.
The Fresno Convention and Visitor's Bureau web site is a great source for more detailed information on area sights and activities.
